Fighting Back

August 21, 2009

All I can say is: It’s about freaking time. I give you my new hero, Senator Barney Frank of the Great Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

Even though I was born and raised in Ohio and have lived in Florida for over 30 years, I always wondered why I felt like I was coming home whenever I flew into Boston’s Logan Airport…

Barney used to be my congressman. My politics have moved right of his, and I don't care for his role in the financial crisis at all (he repeatedly said there was nothing wrong with giving loans to people who in no way could repay them). But I did like when he told her he felt like talking to her was like talking to a dining room table. In general, that's how I feel about trying to discuss politics with many people, on the right or the left.
