It’s Caturday once again, and MJ and I are headed out to the movies. Yup. An old-fashioned triple feature. There are a number of big-screen blockbusters out there, right now. You know – the ones we’ve just got to see on the big screen ’cause they’re just way too big for even our 42-incher at home?
We’re going to see Ironman (finally!), the new Indiana Jones (hey! we’ve got the outfits courtesy of the Florida Lottery, remember?), and the new Narnia flick, “Prince Caspian”. That last one’s for me. I have always loved the C.S. Lewis Narnia book series. I’ve read them all at least 2 times – if not more. And despite the overtly Christian tone (Lewis was a minister, after all), there are two genres of literature and film I can barely resist: a good fantasy, and a period piece. Alright, three. Good kiddy lit. Just sucks me right in.
So, we’re off to breakfast and a 10:45 am start time for Ironman (good Saturday morning cartoon, right?). And we won’t be back till dark. Yay!
